Conservation isn't a marketing line here — it's the work Rustic Angler Forge grew out of. Between builds, the bench takes a back seat to the rivers of the San Luis Valley, the next generation of anglers, and the native fish we're all trying to keep wild.
Coordinating Trout in the Classroom across roughly ten San Luis Valley schools — students raise trout from eggs, track water quality through the season, and release their fish into local waters. It's where a lot of valley kids first connect a classroom to a coldwater stream.
As Youth Education Coordinator for San Luis Valley Trout Unlimited, building the Watershed Ambassador program — a conservation-leadership pipeline that takes high-school students from the classroom to the water through fly tying, fly fishing, and hands-on stewardship.
Supporting the restoration of the native Rio Grande cutthroat trout in the headwaters it has always belonged to. The Cutthroat net was designed to mark that effort — tool and tribute at once.
An active part of the local TU chapter — fundraisers, scholarships, and the year-round volunteer work that keeps valley waters healthy and accessible for the people who fish them.

Several Rustic Angler Forge nets were designed alongside the people and groups doing the work — each one carrying a story worth telling on the water.

Stocking Rustic Angler Forge in your shop, or carrying a net of your own, supports a maker whose hands are in valley conservation year-round. Want to collaborate on a cause net, a fundraiser, or a classroom? Let's talk.
